Let me tell you how my day went. It started with a positive attitude, good mood. I verbalized my affirmations. My day was set. Plus, I was on an emotional high from the entire weekend. I was winning. This is a wonderful day. So I thought.
Unfortunately I had a few bumps in the road. Pressing deadlines to meet on the job. Got the run around while confirming airline tickets for several hours at a time. Rushed to my doctor appointment and then rushed back to work. Took a L (loss) with cooking dinner. Not to mention the house still needs to be cleaned. Seemed like nothing went as planned. Not so wonderful right!
Was everything bad today? No. My family is well. One of my girlfriends called to check on me. She’s doing well also. To top it off, I had some of last night’s sweet potato bread pudding and ice cream for dessert. It was so yummy! And hubby said he’d rub my feet to help me feel better. See, I have things to be grateful for. I messed up when I let tasks that I didn’t accomplish and wasted time make me feel like the whole day was ruined. Although in hindsight, I had minor setbacks.
Despite all of the troubles I’ve endured today, I am declaring that tomorrow will be better. I’m going to recite this quote by Maya Angelou, “This is a wonderful day. I’ve never seen this one before”. Certainly seeing any new day is a blessing. I’m looking forward to making tomorrow better than the day before. I urge you to do the same. 🙂
