Black women are the most educated women on the planet. We’ve participated in marches and created major movements. We are beautiful, powerful, innovative, wise, delicate, and graceful to name a few. We are God’s best creation.
By looking at these ladies you can tell by their stance they are proud to be Black. I am too. Here’s a link to a list of songs I created called 15 Songs That Embrace Being Black.
Black women, we’ve been taught to be strong. I’ve seen it all my life and I’m sure you have too. Many times we carry the weight of the world on our shoulders trying to balance work, family, school, church, paying bills, volunteering, etc. All that work sometimes come without appreciation. However if no one has told you lately, I will tell you, Black women you are definitely loved. You are appreciated.
A couple months ago I took PTO from my job just for some me time. That’s actually a tip on my post, Self-Care for the New Year. I had a lot going on and I needed a break. When I got back home from my self-care day adventure, my husband and I went for a ride to pick up some food. While on the passenger side of the car I saw a small sign with some words on it near the stop sign. I read it and my heart began to melt. See below.
I’d like to think that a man did this. I really appreciate the sign. You never know how small gestures can change a situation or enlighten a mood.
Take care of yourself ladies. You are valuable! Here’s an older post on self love below.
